I find this youtube very inspirational and that Alex puts the finger on something that has botherd me for a while.
Social media does create a lot of noice to signal, it will also create a need to be verified by likes. Now I do not think that social media or wanting likes are a bad thing, but they do affect how we do things.
I guess what I am trying to say is find what you like to photograp because you enjoy it and do that regardless of likes and social media, they are the bonus. But if they force you in a direction you do not like, stop doing it.
”Create art simply for the love of creating it.”
I have to confess that I had not heard of Jaques Henri Lartique before this so I need to check up more on his work.
Anyway here is a link to wikipedia on the man:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacques_Henri_Lartigue
And to the webpage for his donation of his work to the French nation: http://www.lartigue.org/en/
”In 1979, Jacques Henri Lartigue donated his entire photography collection to the French nation and entrusted it to the «Association des Amis de Jacques Henri Lartigue», known as «Donation Jacques Henri Lartigue», in order that they preserve, enhance and promote his work.”
That is an awsome way of sharing ones art.
